A logistics provider does not own the goods but owns the consequences. When a temperature dispute starts, the question is never who cooled the vehicle - it is what happened to that particular consignment, and who can show it.
One vehicle, several customers, several regimes
Contract work mixes customers on the same round. A single-temperature body forces the provider to run the coldest common regime, which costs energy and risks freezing goods that should not freeze. Separate containers let each customer's consignment carry its own regime and its own logger on the same trip.
Proof per consignment
A record taken in the body is an average of everything that happened on the route. A record taken inside a box belongs to one customer and one delivery. For a provider that difference is commercial: it is the line between a shared dispute and a closed file.
Contracts and what they ask
Service agreements usually specify the acceptance band, the record format, what happens on a deviation and how equipment is cleaned between customers. Equipment that can be washed, identified and tracked individually is what makes those clauses workable in daily operation.

How are different customers' loads separated in one vehicle?
Each customer's consignment travels in its own closed container, running its own regime and carrying its own logger. Different temperatures then run together on the same trip while the record stays per consignment.
Which record counts in a temperature deviation dispute?
The record defined in the contract. In practice a logger inside the box shortens the argument because it tells the story of one consignment, whereas a body record is an average of the whole route. The product temperature measured at goods-in is a separate record and replaces neither.
How are containers tracked between customers?
The boxes are numbered individually and the pool is tracked on those numbers: which box is with which customer, which is being washed, which is out in the field. Once the numbering plan and the washing cycle are set up together, loss and mix-ups become measurable.
