Co.Par has two main mudguard families: PARAJET, injection moulded from first-choice polypropylene (PP), and the AISI 304 stainless steel series. PARAJET comes as single-axle, half and flat-top versions; its matt finish helps against scratches, and the high share of rubber in the material adds impact resistance and flexibility at low temperature. The stainless series comes with a PVC rubber edge or in steel only, in FIORE (fiorettato) or 2B (smooth matt) finish; galvanised steel and custom sizes are also possible.
The route decides the choice. On a light vehicle carrying dry freight the PARAJET is light, does not rust and flexes under impact instead of cracking. Where road salt, frequent washing and long service life come first, the stainless series is chosen.
The 304 is not maintenance-free either: if chloride from road salt builds up, localised corrosion can appear, so rinsing and surface checks continue. With plastic, chemical and temperature compatibility is what to look at.
Compare the material against the vehicle's mudguard clearance, wheel movement and mounting points; if the dimensions do not fit, material preference comes second. In a first fleet trial, record the installation date and any impact and corrosion findings, so the next choice rests on real maintenance history. Send us the vehicle model and route and we choose size and material together.
