The phrase “keep refrigerated” alone does not set one temperature or shelf life for every product. Follow the storage and use instructions on the specific product label.
Match the label to the receipt record. Record product name, lot number, a label photo and receipt time. If you measure, add device identity, measurement location and result. This makes clear which lot and control point the record covers.
Record any after-opening storage, use-by date or special handling instruction separately. If the package wording conflicts with another document, do not relabel the product on your own; consult the manufacturer or your business's quality lead.
Leave a traceable decision for deviations
If a reading appears out of range, record the measurement conditions and any repeat check. Tie a decision to hold, use or release the product to current product instructions and an authorized quality assessment. One reading alone does not establish shelf life or legal responsibility.
