FlexLED moves the parking, brake and indicator lights from bumper height to the top line of the body, into one 2435 mm aluminium profile. Three things change with it: where the light sits, how the cable runs and the order of assembly.

The ECE set ships in separate parts: the profile is lacquered in the body colour first and fitted afterwards. That is why a trial fit comes before painting or drilling, and why the route of the 7 m open-end cable to the vehicle wiring is settled at the same stage. The sets with a surrounding light include cable covers and end caps.
The set's 24 V supply and its parking, brake and indicator functions must match the vehicle diagram, and its article number the vehicle documents.
