Organ and tissue logistics should start from the transplant coordinator’s case-specific direction. Do not act on generic timing or viability windows.

Case and role file. Obtain the case/allocation reference, receiving team, planned route and timeline, packing instructions, monitoring method and emergency contacts from the authorised coordinator. Share health information only through approved access and record systems.

Record container and seal ID, pre-dispatch condition, departure and arrival times, each carrier handover and reason for delay. Keep documents in a separate dry sleeve; open or repack only as the case instructions direct.

For delay, broken seal or record discrepancy, alert the coordinator and receiving centre promptly. Preserve timestamps and raw measurement files; leave clinical acceptance, processing or continuation decisions to the authorised transplant team.
