Do not infer hygiene, service life or load performance from frame material alone; request conditions for the exact model.
The GEBHARDT product page shows one-chamber examples with metal and wooden frames, and a two-chamber example with a metal frame. Assess the design against packaged cheese-block dimensions and process.
Compare drawing dimensions, documented stacking/handling load and limits, surface finish, permitted cleaning method and replaceable parts. Also state whether packaged cheese contacts the frame.
Give the supplier recorded ripening-room conditions, wash chemistry/method and drying process. Use the same inspection sheet for each option; photograph coating damage, pooled water, odor or hard-to-clean areas.
Where possible, evaluate a sample under real loading and cleaning cycles. Decide from observations, repairability and manufacturer instructions; do not assume a metal or wood frame alone improves cheese ripening.
GEBHARDT offers this container inside a food and retail programme rather than on its own.
