Emergency transport should be fast, but speed does not replace product storage requirements. Prepare the on-call plan in advance from product and institutional procedures.
Keep an on-call file ready
Record product name, storage range, permitted transport conditions, approved packout, destination unit and decision owner. Include instruction version and source.
Prepare the container, coolant, separator and logger in the complete arrangement intended for the product. Validate by record against the longest expected route and actual waiting steps; do not use a generic duration or temperature.
During dispatch and handoff
Log start time, sender and recipient, route changes and product-adjacent reading. If delayed or outside conditions, follow the institution's escalation procedure; an authorised responsible person decides whether the product may be used.
At shift end, review records and replenish consumed or missing emergency supplies.
