Using a returnable container alone does not show compliance with packaging-waste rules. Procurement and sustainability teams first need a shared scope: which material, shipment unit, reporting period and market?
Measure both packaging flows on the same record
For one-way packaging, match type, material, units and weight to each shipment. For returnables, record units issued, accepted back at delivery and returned damaged; do not count purchases alone as reuse. Compare results only when goods, route and period match.
Separate reporting from legal review
A definition used in a tender or internal report may differ from an official packaging declaration. Confirm current Turkish rules, how the product is placed on the market and your company’s relevant duties with a qualified specialist. Use the available regulation as a starting point and check amendments separately.
Repeated records show where return loops are completed and where packaging is lost. Base the decision on measured material flow and applicable requirements, not an environmental claim alone.
