Total distance or catalogue hold time does not prove performance on a multi-stop route. Each delivery, wait and lid opening can affect exposure; outcome depends on the product, packout, load and route used.
During a trial, record delivery points, planned and actual times, lid openings, waits and deviations. Place the logger where it represents product conditions, following procedure. Compare the route sheet and temperature record on the same timeline.
Identify stops with long waits or repeated openings and revise the sequence, delivery window or packout. Repeat the trial after changes using the same load and representative conditions. An authorised quality owner should decide product disposition after a temperature deviation.
