The transport duration of a passive container is a result for the tested system, not the container alone. If test conditions change, a catalogue or old trial result cannot automatically be applied to a new shipment.
Define the tested configuration
Record product, quantity, starting condition, packaging, cold source, container, and placement.
Record route conditions
Match ambient conditions, stops, openings, transfers, and post-delivery waiting to the plan.
A duration applies only to a defined configuration.
Measure at product locations. Place suitable, calibrated loggers at relevant product risk points in a representative packout.
Retain starting and ending conditions, events, and all records from the trial.
Compare with product requirements
Have the quality owner assess the time-temperature record against product instructions and approved criteria.
Do not use a universal margin or release decision.
Reassess after changes. Review the result when the container, product, cold source, route, or use changes.
Record catalogue data separately from route validation.
This method does not replace the applicable product storage instructions.
