Eutectics and insulation
Eutectic plates, phase change, insulation, thermal bridges. Knowing what happens inside the box beats guessing how long it will hold.

The K coefficient on an ATP certificate is a laboratory result measured over 2-3 days in a closed tunnel, not a thickness claim. It uses a 25-degree difference, 24 sensors and strict stability conditions.
Regulations and standards
ATP has a class of equipment that carries no mechanical unit but does carry a cold source. The text names eutectic plates alongside natural ice and dry ice, and defines the class temperatures at an outside air temperature of +30 °C.
Regulations and standards
Using the MEB food table and a 600 kg milk example, shows how sensible heat and heat of freezing are calculated separately.
Eutectics and insulation
Door openings at stops build the service heat load. Here are ASHRAE's Dt, Df and E factors and how to keep a trip record.
Transport and routing
In a passive cold chain the cold is not made on the road: plates are frozen at the depot, the container is pre-cooled, and no unit runs on the vehicle. ATP classes, plate freezing temperatures and a worked example of heat entry into the container follow below.
Eutectics and insulation
Match container identity, interior condition, required equipment and route in one work order; tie dispatch sign-off to completed checks.
Containers and equipment
Document external damage before unpacking; compare identity, model, fittings and accessories with the order and track open items separately.
Containers and equipment
Give each physical container a stable internal ID; link model, serial and replaceable label to it.
Containers and equipment
Match the wash record to the container ID; record visible cleanliness, dryness and closure checks against site release criteria.
Containers and equipment
Put opening counts in context by matching events with time, stop and task notes.
Containers and equipment
Plan shelf layout from real package size, weight and delivery order; verify model-specific limits in the technical documentation.
Containers and equipment
Place only defined trip documents in the pocket, match them to the box ID and assign a role to clear it on return.
Containers and equipment
A display gives a point reading; a logger records over time. They answer different monitoring questions.
Containers and equipment
Record castor position, observed symptom and load state; leave dispatch disposition to the authorized site process.
Containers and equipment
Record fork entry, base connections and floor contact; use an actual handling trial to decide whether maintenance review is needed.
Containers and equipment
Record a new mark by location, date and photo. If contact recurs, inspect the same area in warehouse and vehicle flow.
