When can frozen and chilled goods share a compartment?

Do not combine products in one compartment without confirming storage requirements and temperature distribution over the route. For a divided container, document tests of each compartment with real loads, monitoring points and loading plan. Without evidence, use separate containers or compartments.

Frozen and chilled goods sharing a vehicle does not prove they can share a compartment. First match each product's label or quality requirements to the shipment plan.

For divided equipment, check partition insulation, airflow and independent cold sources against maker information. Monitor a trial using real loads, layout, door openings and route conditions.

If each compartment does not meet its acceptance criteria in the trial, use separate containers or qualified volumes. For deviations, record affected lots and obtain a quality decision.
