Start an Isotec TBX selection by checking dimensions. The container has to pass the vehicle door, turn on the ramp and take your crates inside. The table uses external and internal dimensions from the Aris Makina TBX flyer and Turkish product brochure. Some external dimensions differ by a few millimetres in GEBHARDT's English technical brochure under the same model names; confirm the applicable configuration on the quotation and project drawing. The table shows two base families. Sizes 410-795 are listed with Ø125 mm castors; actual handling depends on load, floor, ramp and operator conditions. Sizes 900-1500 are listed with a hot-dip galvanised steel pallet base; four-way forklift or pallet-truck access and conveyor use still need checking against the site equipment and project layout.
External or internal dimensions?
They answer two different questions. External dimensions concern the vehicle door, the lift, the aisle and the ramp. Internal dimensions concern crates, shelves and plates: calculate what fits inside from the external figures and you will be wrong.
The gap between external and internal dimensions is not one simple thickness calculation. Insulated walls account for much of the lost volume, while the base, lid, frame and selected base arrangement also affect the figures. Compare the catalogue's TBX 725 external and internal widths directly and use the project drawing for the final fit.
- Measure the interior height and door opening of the vehicle and compare them with the external size
- Measure ramp, lift and aisle width: the container has to be able to turn
- Note the size of the crates you carry and compare it with the internal size
- On pallet-based sizes check forklift or pallet-truck access, fork dimensions and equipment capacity
Wheeled sizes: 410-795
The 410-795 group is listed with a 500 kg payload and Ø125 mm castors. Push force depends on load, floor, slope and safe working conditions; do not assume one-person handling or suitability for a particular aisle. Check the unloading and last-metre route at the site.
Pallet-based sizes: 900-1500
The 900-1500 group is listed with a 700 kg payload. The hot-dip galvanised steel pallet base has four-way entry, but forklift, pallet-truck or conveyor compatibility still depends on fork dimensions, floor, handling plan and total equipment capacity; confirm it in the project review.
What goes inside
Depending on the inner tub and configuration, the documents list up to five product shelves and up to six eutectic plates in the rails under the lid. Euro-crate compatibility must be checked against the crate dimensions and loading plan; an E1, E2 or E3 label does not by itself prove that every arrangement fits every size. The plates above the load provide the cold store.
The body
The product documents describe aluminium profile, steel and galvanised steel corner bumpers. Weight, corrosion behaviour, colour and logo details depend on the selected model and options; confirm which items are standard or optional in the quotation and project drawing.
