Cool night air lowers the heat load on the container, but it does not shorten the wait: the receiving point is closed, and shift handover and security entry add stops that a daytime route does not have. The cold chain of up to 24 hours that GEBHARDT's Isotec TBX gives with eutectic plates or dry ice is spent on those waiting minutes as well.

On a night plan, access delay and the actual receipt start are two separate records. The first night run does not count as daytime data; the records of the following runs correct the plan.

  • access and receipt time
  • where the container waited
  • moment of lid opening
  • owner of the empty return
