Live monitoring becomes an intervention only when the recipient knows what to do. Before installation, define which product and measurement point an alert represents, then specify who creates each response record.

Choose thresholds and delay for the operation. Review product conditions, sensor location, device accuracy and the site procedure together. A warning level can start an early check; an action threshold calls the owner to intervene. Set a duration delay to retain data from short events such as door openings while reducing unnecessary notifications. Do not copy one value across products or routes.

Test the notification chain. Write down the alert owner, backup, response-time target and escalation step if no one responds. Use a test alert to confirm delivery, acknowledgement logging and how the event is closed.

During connection loss, test that the device preserves timestamped readings locally and transmits them when service returns. Link alerts, measurements and actions to the same shipment or equipment identity; review recurring excursions for root causes.
