A logistic label carries the unit's identity; it must not cover the closure line, the seal area or the document slot. For placement, the measurements of the GS1 Logistics Label Guideline, release 1.0.2 (2015), are used. The guideline gives these measurements for large logistic units such as pallets and roll cages.

Counting the TBX as a large unit is a classification decision. Record in the shipping plan which group the unit is assigned to, and apply the measurements on that basis.
The guideline recommends labels on two sides of pallets; on a rolling unit one side is often enough. It sets no rule for left, centre or right placement. It notes that most forklift operators are right-handed, so a label on the right side is scanned more easily.
Where on the TBX
The TBX brochure lists, as optional fittings that can be added later, an external thermometer on the door, a wired document slot for shipping papers, and a designated area for branding. If the label and the document slot share a face, one can cover the other, so both positions are chosen together.
The branding area and the document pocket are measured on the unit itself. The logistic label is planned so that it does not overlap them, and the two placements are passed to the shipping team in writing as separate decisions.
Check list
- Is the bottom of the barcode between 400 and 800 mm above the base? Measure from the base.
- Is the barcode at least 50 mm from the vertical edge? Measure with the quiet zones included.
- Does the label clash with the door, the document slot or the thermometer?
- Are the closure line and the seal area clear?
- Is the label readable after washing and wiping? Confirm the adhesive suits the surface before use.
- Does the label fall on the castor area or on a recessed handle? Does the bottom edge stay above the castor and base zone? Measure that height on the unit from the base.
