A sensor measures the point where it is placed; it does not automatically describe the entire load. Placement should follow mapped risks and product location, not convenience.
First map hot and cold spots in the vehicle or storage area. Choose monitoring points from those findings and the product layout; justify sensor count from volume, load distribution and mapping results.
In passive packaging, place the sensor beside the product in the same pack arrangement. Contact with the coolant or a position near the lid may produce readings unlike the load conditions.
Keep placement consistent for each shipment and document it with a photo or diagram. Link the device serial number, calibration information, load arrangement and recording time.
When assessing an excursion, account for logger response differences and exact location. Do not draw a definitive product conclusion from a setup where the sensor did not represent the product.
