The number on a transport bag is the measurement at the device sensor. Confirm what that value represents from the model manual; do not assume it is product temperature or a record of earlier conditions.

Identify the sensor function

Record model and serial number. From its manual, determine whether the sensor measures air, surface or a simulated product, along with range, accuracy information and whether memory records data.

Sensor position can affect the reading. Add a second logger beside the product load and compare on a trial route. Record loading, lid openings, waiting and handoff times on the same form.

Complete the handoff record

For a display or instant value, include time, device ID and sensor position. If a continuous history is needed, use a logger with data export and check calibration status under the institutional procedure.

Product suitability and release decisions come from authorised product instructions and records, not a display alone.
