The first goal during an outage is to preserve product history for a controlled decision. Build an event and measurement record instead of estimating safety from elapsed minutes.
Initial response record
Record start time, outage notice or source, affected equipment, display readings and alarm messages. Keep doors closed; list rooms, lots and access. Back up logger data without erasing it or stopping the device.
Activate the site plan’s on-call, technical, quality and backup-power steps. If backup power is connected, log when and which equipment it serves; if stock is transferred, record lot and custody handovers.
Do not decide product acceptance or transfer from a time estimate alone. Use product instructions, measurement history and an authorised quality assessment to document a written decision; file the event and corrective action.
