Winter packaging should be qualified by assessing the product's proximity to coolant alongside cold exposure on the route. Outdoor weather alone does not show the conditions experienced by the product.
Review vehicle, transfer, ramp and waiting-area records. Match cold risk points from mapping to product locations and include them in the test plan.
Record the actual product or suitable representative load, pack arrangement, coolant preparation and barriers. Take winter acceptance criteria from the applicable product instructions and quality process.
Document the qualified arrangement, components and route conditions in the packing instruction. Reassess the evidence when season, product or route changes.
If a deviation or suspected freezing occurs, segregate the load, preserve logger data and event times, and notify the responsible quality team. These records support review but do not determine product usability on their own.
