The GEBHARDT eutectic-plate brochure states savings potential of up to 41% versus dry ice; this ceiling is not your operating result.
Your result depends on the product, route, shipment count and freezing arrangement; build the calculation from your own data.
Choose the metric first: cost and CO2 are calculated separately, and a percentage found for one does not stand in for the other.
Compare the same product, shipment count and assessment period.
For dry ice, record purchase invoices, delivery and the quantity lost unused.
For plates, include the set and freezing equipment investment in the period cost.
Measure refreezing electricity at the meter or use verified consumption data for the equipment.
Track plate reuse cycles, loss and damage too; keep assumptions such as expected life separate from results.
Compare total cost for the same period and service level, not the cost of one trip alone.
A longer route or late return can change plate cycles and dry-ice need; show scenarios separately.
Do not enter the ceiling as your result. Clarify the metric and calculate yours from invoices, power measurements and usage logs.
