A logger interval is not chosen from the device menu alone. Product requirements, possible door events, journey duration and the team reviewing the report all matter. One interval does not fit every depot and route.
Define the event to capture first
With the quality lead, identify which process event must be distinguishable in the record. On a real route, match door opening time and duration with a sensor point suited to the product requirement. Check whether the first trial’s trace shows those events in enough detail.
Assess device capacity and alarms separately. Estimate record count for the longest expected journey and compare it with logger memory and battery capacity. Sampling interval, temperature alarm threshold and notification duration are different settings; do not change a product decision limit to suppress door-event alerts.
After the pilot, document interval, sensor position and review step. Revalidate sampling when product, route or door-use pattern changes.
