A short, regular field walk catches drift earlier than a long checklist filled in rarely, because it looks at critical states instead of searching for paperwork. If every management level checks the same detail, ownership repeats: operators should see the daily state, managers the flow blockage, and process owners the recurring trend.

  1. Clean-dirty boundary
  2. Plate state and open containers
  3. Quarantine and logger preparation
  4. Waiting age and pending work

Each finding is recorded with a photo, container ID, action owner and closure date. The walk is meant to expose drift from the standard, not to catch staff unprepared; if the same finding returns, look at the system cause instead of another local fix.
