After a crash, prioritize personal safety and instructions from officials at the scene. If there is a spill, fire, hazardous material or damaged vehicle, leave cargo recovery to qualified responders.

When safe, give dispatch the shipment and batch identity, vehicle and container condition, location and time. Take photos only where it is safe and permitted.

Preserve logger file, device ID, sensor location and packaging condition. Record the time and person responsible for any power loss, opening or transfer.

Do not move cargo for transfer until a suitable vehicle, protected area, staff and product instructions are confirmed. Assess scene safety and transport conditions with the responsible teams.

Identify and segregate damaged or uncertain goods. Leave return, use, release or disposal decisions to the product quality owner and, where relevant, competent authority; a crash alone does not decide product status.
