Transport conditions for enzymes, antibodies, kits and media depend on the product. Match its label, manufacturer document and relevant safety data sheet instead of assuming a general cold-chain rule.

Assign a receiving person

Name an owner and contact route for deliveries outside working hours. Record arrival and opening times separately to make any wait visible.

Record product identity and evidence

Link product name, lot, quantity, package damage, shipping indicator and logger file to the receipt record. If dry ice is present, note its condition under the receiving procedure; do not treat this alone as proof of product suitability.

Verify storage conditions at source

Check the applicable version of the label, manufacturer technical document and SDS. If information conflicts, readings are unclear or a delay occurred, segregate the item and consult the supplier and responsible investigator in writing.

Plan outages for the product

Name alarm recipients, backup storage and transfer owners in advance. Prioritize transfers using the lab inventory and product instructions.
