A bar-lock arrangement may include a rod, guides, bearings, lock body and catch. Parts vary by door model, so use the existing set to identify and match codes.

Confirm dimensions and codes

Record the rod measurement and door fixing points, using the reference points shown in the maker's drawing.

Check set compatibility

Use the parts list to confirm guides and bearings fit the rod, and the lock and catch fit the door geometry.

Similar diameter or appearance alone does not prove parts work together.

Follow the installation instructions

Assembly order, hole positions and tightening torque must come from the current fitting document for the exact set.

Before loading, cycle the door and observe rod movement, lock engagement and seal closure.

Add part codes, installation date and final function check to the maintenance record.

If there is play, binding or misalignment, do not force an adjustment.

Ask a bodywork technician or your supplier to confirm compatibility.
