A vehicle unit sensor shows the air conditions at its own location. It is not a product temperature reading. Loading, door movement and airflow can make the two readings differ at the same moment.
Define the measurement on the delivery record
For each value, record its type, location, time and instrument, such as a return-air sensor or a measurement taken on the product. Any packaging opening or probe method must follow the product and acceptance procedure.
A non-contact infrared instrument reads a surface; do not label that value as a core measurement. If it is used for screening, define the result and follow-up measurement method in the procedure.
Before dispatch, agree in writing with the recipient which measurement point, method, instrument verification and product requirement inform acceptance. This prevents an air reading and a product measurement from being compared later as if they were the same data.
If there is a deviation, preserve the raw record and link it to the reading time and product identity. Release or rejection should follow the applicable product requirement and authorised quality assessment, not one value on the transport display.
