To make food safety culture visible in daily work, review observation, records and staff feedback within one process.
Observe the actual task
Choose receiving, loading, cleaning or temperature checks. Note who owns the task, whether instructions are accessible and how work is actually done.
Compare records with practice
Check whether forms are completed during the task or later, whether instruments are usable and whether record amendments are traceable.
When a deviation is found, follow who receives the report and how product is protected using a real example.
The record should show corrective action owner, target and closure evidence.
Find barriers with staff
Ask what equipment, timing or role conflict makes the right action difficult. Treat responses as input to improve work design, not to assign personal blame.
Follow improvement
Record the finding, owner, correction and recheck date. Compare whether behaviour and evidence changed in the next sample.
Few deviation reports alone do not prove a strong culture; assess how easy reporting is too.
Culture work advances through clear ownership, accessible records and lessons reflected in the process.
