On day one, a new worker learns the equipment, work area and workflow. A brief hands-on lid demonstration gives them a memorable starting point alongside verbal guidance.

The first practice

Get ready to take the product, open the lid, remove it and close the lid promptly. Prepare and count with the lid closed.

Why this step. Time left open can affect conditions inside the cabinet. If a target or limit is needed, use the site SOP and equipment instructions.

How to demonstrate it

  1. The trainer demonstrates the movement once.
  2. The new worker performs the same task.
  3. Ask when the lid should be opened and closed.

Why a short check helps

Watch the worker perform the task instead of relying on an explanation alone. Record whether it was completed, demonstrated again or needs support.

What can wait until the next day. Teach tasks such as plate location, measurement point and empty-container return during later practice, in workflow order. Match each item to its equipment instruction.

A week-two observation. Observe a real task in week two and use the same checklist. If a problem appears, review the setup and instruction too, such as whether the preparation area is in a suitable place.

Senior staff follow it too. Apply the same work step consistently across the team. Brief observations of experienced staff against the checklist make the shared method visible.
