Nobody knows when the leak started, and the gel may have worked in between sealed product packs. That is why goods, gel pack and box get three separate decisions.

  1. Move the box flat to a safe place and set the damaged pack aside without squeezing it. Mark and photograph the goods it touched, and tie the pack lot and the order to the record.
  2. Goods: check the integrity of the primary packaging and read the gel content from the pack's safety data sheet (SDS). Wiping the outside is not a fitness decision; your quality procedure makes it.
  3. Box: if gel has entered seams, foam or scratches, check whether an approved method removed it completely. A box that cannot be cleaned is held apart.

If a second leak appears in the same lot, investigate the batch and the preparation conditions, not the single pack.
