Do not pull or hold a container that has stopped on a ramp alone. Stop the approach and call for help.
Keep the area safe first
Move everyone away from its path and notify the responsible person. Trained staff should secure it under applicable instructions.
Do not improvise recovery. Do not push, pull or unload it ad hoc. Chocking or lifting depends on the container and equipment instructions.
Possible observations

- Wrap, string or tape may be caught in the bearing.
- A castor may sit at an angle or look damaged.
Inspect instead of forcing
Once access is safe, trained staff inspect obstruction and damage. Follow model maintenance instructions; do not turn a suspect part by hand.
Record the ramp finding
Log the ramp section; photograph visible channel, threshold or floor damage. Repeats help direct a site inspection.
Equipment and help
Review the ramp help route and authorised recovery-equipment users before shifts. Do not manoeuvre without suitable equipment.
Incident record and recurrence
Record container ID, load, time, castor, ramp section, symptom and responding team. Sort repeats by container or ramp to direct review.
