A temperature statement on a label is a storage instruction for that product; by itself it does not decide release or remaining shelf life after every transport event.

Distinguish the purpose of each value

The product label or manufacturer document, buyer's contractual acceptance criterion and logger alarm setting are separate records. Identify each value's source, applicable product and process, and responsible owner in the product file.

For a deviation, identify the lot and package; retain time, measurement point, device and logger profile. Add actual exposure duration if known; do not fill missing data with estimates.

Route the decision through an authorized process

Quarantine or isolate the product and contact the product owner, quality team or authority named in the applicable official procedure. Document any re-shipment, use or disposal decision with its rationale and evidence. An alarm clearing or a later in-range reading alone does not close the event.
