To find containers that appear missing, first compare issue and return quantities in the same shipment record. A deposit may support financial reconciliation but does not show physical location by itself.

Complete each movement entry

Record store code, shipment date, container ID or group, quantity issued, recipient and empty quantity collected. Link a signature or electronic acknowledgement to the entry.

Investigate differences the same day

If expected and counted containers do not match, log the open difference. Check the store's designated empty area, back room and last delivery point with the responsible person.

Resolve recurring differences at the location

Compile discrepancies by store and date. Discuss and record a local correction where containers are used for another task, placed elsewhere or returned without documentation.

Verify deposit or loss-charge treatment with finance and contract owners. Track collection, settlement and physical container movement in separate but linked records.
