Passive equipment may fit some transport stages; that does not mean it is cheaper, lower-emission or suitable on every route. Decide from product requirements and trip measurements.

Define the distribution stage

Record trunk transport, transfer and multi-stop last mile separately. Trip duration, door openings, waiting and access frequency can call for different cooling arrangements.

Use operating data for comparison

Track product readings and ambient conditions alongside active-unit fuel or electricity and the energy used to condition plates. Trial with the same product, route, load and acceptance method.

Separate stages that do not fit

If the product protocol calls for continuous cooling or a duration beyond the passive packout's validated conditions, assign active refrigeration or split the flow. Report savings only when comparative records support them.
