Cultures and enzyme preparations can differ in form and storage needs. At receipt, verify maker instructions and lot details rather than assuming a generic temperature or thaw condition.
Track courier and receipt times
| Record | Check |
|---|---|
| Shipment | Dispatch, transfer and arrival times |
| Pack | Seal, damage and product label |
| Measurement | Device ID, location and raw data |
| Storage | Time from receipt to storage |
- Match label and lot to the order
- Inspect outer packaging and seals
- Store under maker instructions
- Segregate deviations and ask the supplier
Ask the supplier a specific question
If conditions differ, send lot, product type, packaging and raw temperature data. Do not guess whether it is fit for production.
Visual checks do not replace an activity test.
Plan small-parcel collection
If collecting yourself, use packaging and a route plan consistent with maker instructions. Record observed conditions during the trip.
If use is approved, file lot and acceptance records; send unexpected results for quality review.
