Promotion volume matters, but so do delivery timing and placement capacity. Plan by comparing the forecast with measured usable cold space.
Measure cold capacity before the promotion
Use case dimensions and planned quantities by SKU to estimate incoming volume. Determine usable space after existing stock, shelf load limits, airflow clearance and staff access are accounted for.
Put delivery windows and placement time for each wave on the schedule. If several loads would arrive at the same space at once, revise sequence or booking.
Compare actual stock, waiting and placement times during the promotion with the forecast. If capacity is exceeded, adjust the next order wave, shipment sequence or site-approved temporary cold space.
Track remaining quantity and waste after the promotion by the same SKU and lot records. Update the next campaign order from actual sales and storage data.
