A trip summary should make raw data readable while allowing the reader to return to its source. A report that does not link a value to a shipment, measurement point and device is not a reliable basis for comparison.
Link the trip and device IDs
Record shipment number, load or lot, date, route, device serial number, sensor position and logging start and finish. State the time zone and whether the device clock was checked.
Summarise measurements and gaps. Show the logging interval, measured minimum and maximum, graph time axis and missing-data periods. Place event notes on the same timeline; do not present an average or alarm as a product suitability decision.
The product owner should compare the summary with current product instructions and applicable procedure, then record the next action. Retain the raw file, summary version and reviewer together.
