A logger report does not guide operations unless a named owner reviews it and records a decision.
Assign a report owner. Name the primary role, backup and storage location in the procedure.
Check record validity first. Review device ID, calibration or verification status, start and end times, and data gaps.
Do not close a record that does not match the shipment or is incomplete as a normal result.
Classify findings against product conditions
Compare the trace with product requirements and the approved excursion procedure; do not use one universal limit.
Escalate uncertain results, data loss or excursions to the quality owner.
Track decisions and actions
Add reviewer, time, finding, decision and follow-up owner to the report.
Missing record or sensor-placement issue
Excursion and product assessment decision
Corrective-action owner and closure note
If a pattern recurs, review route, equipment and sensor placement separately.
Define review frequency and escalation timing in the procedure according to product risk.
Hand open findings to the named owner at shift change.
