One off-season storage method does not fit every item of equipment. Find the manual for each container, plate and accessory, and link care steps to the inventory record.
Inspect before storage
Record equipment ID, cleaning date and drying check. Inspect seals, lid, hinges, castors, interior and any plates for damage or residue.
Link defects to work orders
Photograph a damaged part, record its location and observation, and refer repair or removal from service to the responsible owner. Do not remove equipment from inventory based on assumed suitability.
Record the storage arrangement
Follow the manual for lid position, stacking limit, plate state and surrounding conditions. Enter the storage room or shelf location in the inventory so equipment and parts can be found.
Recheck before the season. Before use, inspect dryness, odor, leakage, seals and castors again. Do not dispatch equipment until needed repair and cleaning are complete; close the check with date and signature.
