A certificate or separate collection system does not by itself describe packaging consumption. First check which sites and activities the certificate covers.

Confirm the applicable requirement

Review the Zero Waste Regulation and the facility's current certificate scope with the responsible person. Do not treat a general hierarchy as the same legal duty for every product flow.

Measure one flow as a baseline

Record single-use packaging count and weight by product group, route and period. Do not confuse purchases with quantities actually used.

Match a reuse pilot

Trial returnable containers on the same deliveries; track return rate, cycle time, washing inputs, losses and damage. Monitor delivery and protection criteria during the pilot too.

Link packaging and operational records to the applicable reporting method. Applicability depends on certificate scope, facility role and current official rules.

Compare on the same basis

Compare single-use and returnable flows per accepted delivery. If the pilot is short or returns are incomplete, do not present the result as annual savings or environmental superiority.

These records support purchasing and waste-management decisions; they do not alone prove certificate scope or legal compliance.
