A refrigerated locker adds a waiting step between delivery and collection. Assess that step against product instructions, the compartment and the actual waiting time.
Keep the initial handoff record complete
Record product and lot, packaging, locker compartment and placement time. If the courier measures the product at handoff, also record the device, measurement location and result. A locker display reading is not the same as a product measurement.
Test whether each compartment's readings or alarms are retained and who can access them. Compare the product label's storage instruction, expected dwell and compartment setting with the approved site procedure. Verify suitability with a representative load and record the start and end profiles.
Define waiting and fault procedures. Write who isolates a parcel and which quality lead is notified after late collection, a power failure or an alarm. Specify record access, notification and role allocation in the contract; the presence of a locker alone establishes neither temperature compliance nor party liability.
