TurkStat's Fishery Products, 2025 release, published on 4 June 2026, puts Türkiye's fishery production at 1,037,019 tonnes. That is 11.1% more than the 933,119 tonnes of 2024; the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry repeats the same figures in its statistical bulletin of 9 June 2026.
| Item | 2025, tonnes | Change on 2024 |
|---|---|---|
| Total production | 1,037,019 | +11.1% |
| Capture | 410,428 | +15.3% |
| Aquaculture | 626,591 | +8.6% |
| Marine aquaculture | 440,817 | |
| Inland aquaculture | 185,774 |
Aquaculture accounts for 60.4% of output, and that changes the logistics. In capture fisheries the sea sets the harvest time; in aquaculture the farm does. Because harvest day and quantity are known in advance, container numbers and plate regimes can be worked out in advance too. The species split matters as well: trout leads inland at 185,310 tonnes, while sea bass at 174,859 tonnes and sea bream at 164,643 tonnes lead at sea, each with its own size range and packaging.
The national figure sets the frame; the decision comes from three numbers of your own: annual tonnage, peak daily tonnage and the containers available on that peak day. One year's rise is not a trend. Set several years of releases side by side and it becomes clear whether growth is steady or a one-off jump.
