Whichever fills first, the weight limit or the volume, sets net goods per trip. When the weight limit binds, net goods equal the vehicle payload limit minus empty containers, accessories and coolant, and tare directly takes the place of product. When volume fills first, the kilogram difference does not reach the load.
A lighter container pays off if it carries the same amount of product. In a container that is damaged often or takes less product, the kilogram advantage is not a system advantage; measure the result per net goods delivered, including return, damage and service life. Try dock and handling ease with a real load.
