The line turns out packs per second, while the container is sold by the litre; the two measures meet at the end of the line, and a mismatch shows up there. Four things decide the fit: how many packs sit in the container, how many layers stack, how many minutes one container takes to fill, and how many steps remain after closing.
| Seen at the line exit | Likely cause |
|---|---|
| Boxes piling up | Too few containers or filling points, product warms while waiting |
| Container leaves half full | Order quantity does not match container size |
| Lid closes only by force | Stacking height exceeded |
GEBHARDT states that standard Euronorm crates (E1, E2, E3) can be used in every size of the Isotec TBX; plan the pack to that crate size and clearance shrinks. The container must reach the filling point cold: for fresh product GEBHARDT gives 0 to 2 °C, for deep-frozen product -21 to -25 °C, with 12 to 20 hours of pre-cooling. Written into the line plan as its own step, pre-cooling does not get skipped.
