If odour remains, do not reach for a stronger chemical; separate the source first: product residue, incomplete rinsing, drying with the lid closed and a damaged surface each call for a different fix. Whether the smell appears as soon as the container is opened or only when one surface is wet narrows the source.
Take the container out of the clean pool and run the same assessment on a neutral control unit. If odour repeats by batch, investigate the washing process; if it stays on one container, investigate the surface and its load history.

Regulation (EC) 852/2004, Annex II, requires containers carrying food to be kept clean and in good repair and to be effectively cleaned between loads. Masking the smell with fragrance does not meet that; the container stays out of the clean pool until the review is finished and the procedure approves it.
