Before an outage, the disaster plan should identify backup storage, power, transport options and decision owners. Document when each option may be activated in the organization's quality plan.
Keep affected batch and quantity, current location, outage start, logger data and interventions together on one incident timeline.
For a transfer, record dispatch and receipt times, the people handing over and receiving, packaging condition and any logger ID. The responsible team should verify the alternate location against product instructions.
If power or records are lost, do not invent a default temperature or duration. Report the last known reading, uncertainty and actions taken.
Segregate products affected by an excursion and send records to the quality owner. Use, return or disposal decisions follow product-specific instructions and authorized assessment; a disaster alone does not justify release.
