Allergen separation should follow the site risk assessment for products and contact pathways; one container-allocation rule does not fit every operation.
Identify transfer pathways. Map products, spill/leak potential, powder spread, contact surfaces and the next load. Define in the quality plan which flows can be controlled by cleaning and which require dedicated equipment, with rationale.
Link container ID, allergen group or use status, visible label, cleaning date and verification result in one record. If colour coding is used, support it with a number or written code.
Check the container and marking before loading; do not release it for use if cleaning evidence is missing. For a discrepancy, segregate the next load and record corrective action and quality approval.
