GCCA's 29 April 2026 announcement reports 1.6 billion ft³ (45.3 million m³) of temperature-controlled space operated by member firms in its European Top 10, with a 172 million ft³ increase. This is not total European warehouse capacity or stock available to a particular shipment; ask the facility about local space and docks.
Ask what the figure covers
Check how the source defines Europe, operator scope, space unit and data date. Inclusion in a ranking does not mean all space is available for every customer or commodity.
Obtain acceptance details for the shipment. Get the facility address, accepted product and packaging, pallet dimensions, weekly availability, appointment time and unloading documents from the receiver in writing. Ask for an alternate site in case of border or transfer delay.
Measure waiting on your own route
Record arrival, appointment, dock acceptance and unloading times on each trip. Compare them with the product protocol's holding and monitoring requirements; do not infer a local queue or holding duration from continental capacity data.
