A mixed-load plan covers product compatibility, packaging, cleaning and restraint as well as temperature. Do not accept chemicals or odorous goods that are incompatible with the dry product; check shipment requirements before dispatch.
Place chilled goods in suitable closed equipment that can maintain the required temperature range. Assess contact and leakage risks between containers and other loads. Secure containers and dry goods according to vehicle and load instructions, and include their volume and weight in payload planning.
On a trial route, record loading order, openings, stops, product temperature and delivery condition. Observe whether the chosen load and unload sequence requires handling the cold equipment at each stop. If the layout does not meet route or product limits, change it and measure again.
