A blanket or thermal cover's effect depends on material, fit, weather and route. Do not generalize a short-route claim without measurement.
Set up a comparison
Use the same product and packaging, similar starting conditions, loading arrangement, route and stops in both trials.
Record the setup
Note cover model, dry or wet state, bottom and side gaps, door openings and ambient conditions.
Measure against product instructions
Choose sensor location and times using the approved product method. Compare covered and uncovered records against the same acceptance criteria.
Define the use boundary. Results apply only to the tested load and route. Without data, do not substitute a cover for validated insulation or temperature control.
Write the field decision. Add to the procedure when a cover may be used, who fits it and what to do when conditions change.
